Cruise Planning – Ways to Reduce the Stress

Cruise planning is incredibly stressful for most people, they worry about every aspect of the trip, what to pack, what to do, what documents to take, what will the weather be like, and on and on. There are whole websites dedicated to answering these and many more questions.

Here are a couple of ways one can reduce the stress of planning a cruise.

1. Research you ports of call. I love to go on the internet and read about the ports of call I’ll be visiting. Learn about port, the shopping and find things to do that aren’t the normal tourist traps. This will help you be prepared when you get there and is a great family activity to extend the vacation excitement.

2. Don’t over pack and create a packing list. Over packing is the most common mistake made especially if you’re a first timer. Just sit down and make a list of the clothes and personal items you need. Then put it aside for a couple of days and take it out again and cross off half of everything you put down. You really don’t need 3 swim suits and 2 hair dryers.

If you follow these 3 simple suggestions your cruise planning will be must less stressful and you will look forward to going instead of dreading going.
